The American Legion Baseball fundraising taco dinner has been put off for months during the coronavirus shutdown, but it will go on!
The date is now Thursday, June 18, and it will be a taco drive-in dinner ... at the American Dream Drive-in theater south of town.
The Legion baseball fundraiser was originally scheduled for March 28.
“We’ve had to change the dates three times, and there are tickets out there with different dates on them,” said American Legion Baseball board member Cory Ostermiller. “All taco dinner tickets will be honored.”
“We are still going to have live and silent auctions with a drive-in format,” he added.
People can participate in the auction sitting in their cars or on their own lawn chairs to observe proper social distancing. Tacos will be served fast food style as people enter the drive-in grounds. If they wish to stay for the auction, they can come inside and park.
Tacos will be served starting at 5 p.m., and the live auction will proceed around 6 p.m.
