Hitting the fairways for the first time this spring the Good Old Boys took over the Powell Golf Club on Tuesday, May 2 — returning to action with two best net balls from four man teams.
Leading the way and winning the first week of the new year was the team of Ed Swistak, Thom Seliga, Buddy Rae and Gerry Johns with a 127.
One stroke behind them in second place was Dennis McCollum, Rhett Wolff, Todd Smith and Jim Tobin.
Third place was the team of Ray Nelson, Clark Jeffs, Larry Hedderman and Cas Seago with a 132.
Don Hardy, Bob Mason, Paul Devoss and Lloyd Snyder finished with a 139 to take home fourth.
One stroke behind them was the team of James Caffro, Richard Horton, Tanya Bonner and David Frost.
One deuce was carded on the day by Horton on No. 15.
The low net went to Snyder with a 70 and the low gross was a tie between Frost and Jeffs with an 81.
