Dear Editor:
Are we Americans? What is wrong with the pictures we all saw on TV, our phones, or the internet of the assault on our nation’s Capitol?
We are a nation governed by rules and laws which apply to all of us — including the person who occupies the White House. That person is hired by us to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United states from all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
Our junior senator was complicit in this as evidenced by her behavior even after the insurection at the Capitol, giving credit to lies and conspiracy theories. Thank God for Liz Cheney, who had the honor and integrity to speak truth to power. She should be congratulated and lifted up as a hero; instead she faces retribution from her own political party.
We teach our children to accept loss as winners who lost not as sore losers. There was no vote dump, no fraud, and no STEAL. All 50 or more lawsuits with no action even by the Supreme Court. Many in Wyoming voted by mail. How would we feel if our votes were questioned?
The American flag represents us all. It does not just represent Trump. That glorious symbol represents TRUTH, HONOR and FREEDOM. Newtown, Parkland, and the Capitol are not “false flags.” They are part of the reality we all live in today.
Are we Americans or are we Trumpicans? I pray we are all Americans — Americans with different ideas who respect each other and do not promote hate and anger, but compassion, truth, honor, and integrity.
