Dear editor,
I think the idea of the county storing food in case of disaster is not a workable idea. I can see a social program like this getting way out of hand. Once you start something like this there is no stopping it. Also, what are most of the families in Park County going to do with whole grain. We have no way of turning it into flour. You would have to have storage places in Powell, Cody, Frannie and Meeteetse. And what about the people living outside of a town? No one would have fuel to travel to get the grain. I just don’t think it is a feasible thing to do.
