Ray J. Wardell, 84, of Emblem, Wyoming, passed away June 11, 2019 at Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home in Basin, Wyoming. He was born in Byron, Wyoming, on Aug. 11, 1934.
He grew up in Emblem, Wyoming, and attended Burlington Schools.
He married Joan Marie Johnson from Burlington in 1953, and this union brought forth two children, Wade and LouCinda.
Ray loved farming. He was a farmer in the Burlington/Emblem area for many decades.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, bowling, baseball and coaching.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and seven siblings.
He is survived by his children (Wade and Delaine Wardell and LouCinda Merritt), his grandchildren (Adam and Lauren), one sister (Ruby) and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Burlington Cemetery.
