Sen. R.J. Kost, R-Powell, will be a “Front Row participant” in a virtual town hall on shaping education in the state in the next 10 years.

Kost will take part in a Tuesday, Jan. 5 Zoom town hall sponsored by the After School Alliance. Titled Wyoming 2030, the town hall conversation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Those who would like join in can visit www.wyoming2030.org.

Kost was curriculum coordinator of the Powell schools before his retirement and 2018 election to the state Senate in Senate District 19.  He serves on the Legislature’s task force on early childhood education.

Kost was also a featured panelist during November’s Virtual Wyoming Business Forum, hosted by the Wyoming Business Alliance, as he participated in a discussion about Wyoming school finance.

Kost said the focus of the After School Alliance’s Jan. 5 town hall is “what we need to do so our kids are prepared for 2030 and beyond.”
