In the recent news article “Entrepreneur workshop scheduled in Powell,” where is mention of the contributions of NWC? Faculty and staff of NWC have been involved in creating and presenting IMPACT 307 workshops from the beginning.

It is disappointing that Mayor Wetzel and the Powell Tribune failed to give due credit to NWC faculty and staff. NWC Business faculty members Kevin Kuen and Adrian Arismandi along with Dr. Marnee Crawford collaborated with IMPACT 307 in planning the initial entrepreneurship workshops in Park County. The involvement of UW is relatively recent. I hope that future reporting on economic initiatives will give due credit to NWC staff and faculty for their efforts in supporting community development.

The Tribune may be interested in shining light on the NWC Center for Training and Development’s (lead by Christi Greaham) significant contribution to local economy and services including training in CDL, HVAC, DELTA and many other opportunities for Park County residents and businesses. The faculty of the nursing program, led by Dr. Marnee Crawford, supports the growing health care sector in the Basin by educating RNs, LPNs and EMTs. Paramedics and other first line health care workers. NWC provides high quality education in law enforcement, business, agriculture, engineering, art, music and a full range of academic transfer content. Northwest College is a treasure for Powell, Park County and the Big Horn Basin — the faculty and staff deserve recognition for their many contributions.
