Cody High School and Heart Mountain Academy launched the second cohort of students into the Health Career Pathways program March 4, a pioneering initiative borne out of a strategic partnership with Cody Regional Health. Facilitated by the RIDE Pilot program, this collaboration aims to empower and cultivate future health care professionals.

Students will get to see various departments and shadow professionals, ranging from coding to surgery.”Advancing Wyoming’s Learning Landscape” is a collaborative initiative involving Gov. Mark Gordon, Superintendent Megan Degenfelder, the Wyoming Department of Education, the State Board of Education and the University of Wyoming College of Education. Recently, the program welcomed nine school districts into the RIDE Pilot, championing the cause of Student-Centered Learning.

Park County School District 6 unveiled the Classroom 2 Careers initiative at the start of the 2023-24 school year. This program provides students with a platform to explore diverse health-related professions and skilled workforce careers in high-need, high-skilled, high-wage fields. Students use interactive sessions, hands-on experiences and insightful discussions to learn about careers in health care.
