Bighorn Canyon is nearing the end of a busy summer season and looking toward the winter. There will be some minor changes to park operations during the winter season.
The South District Visitor Center in Lovell, Wyoming, will be switching to winter hours on Sunday Nov. 6. The Visitor Center will be open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. The North District Visitor Center in Fort Smith, Montana, has closed for the season, and will reopen on Memorial Day, 2023.
Bighorn Canyon offers wonderful year-round boating, fishing and hiking opportunities. All hiking trails are open and offer a variety of fall and winter scenery. Bighorn Canyon invites you to enjoy and explore the different seasons at the lake.
