RED LODGE — The Beartooth Electric Cooperative (BEC) board of trustees recently announced Pat Patterson as the electric cooperative’s new general manager.
“We were very fortunate to have excellent candidates for the position,” said Board President Jim Neu. “The board unanimously agreed that Pat had the experience, knowledge, and skills that would be the best fit for BEC. We are excited to have him join our team and have full confidence in him to help us face any challenges in BEC’s future.”
Patterson has 33 years of experience within the electric utility industry. His professional experience includes positions as a consulting electrical engineer, district manager, operations manager and division manager.
Patterson comes to BEC from NorthWestern Energy, where he held the position of Bozeman division operations manager for 13 years and division manager for the last three years.
“My past roles have equipped me with the experience, knowledge and skills necessary to communicate effectively with all employees and build strong relationships within departments to serve the membership effectively,” Patterson said. “I look forward to taking the reins at Beartooth Electric in July.”
