Spots are still available for the 31st annual Yellowstone Summer Music Camp, scheduled for June 16-21 at Northwest College. Students from around the region will have the opportunity to perform in concert and jazz bands, and choirs. Special interest classes include master classes in all instruments, jazz bands, jazz choirs, music technology, drum circle, chess, frisbee golf, boom whackers, fun & fitness, and many others.
Full tuition, room, board, and meals at the camp is $590, or $390 for commuters who pay tuition only. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 15 with a deposit of $150 due by Friday, May 31. Deposits can be paid online at northwestmusic.org/yellowstone-summer-music-camp/ or by mailing a check to NWC. The remainder must be paid in full by check-in on the first day of camp, June 16, when scholarship recipients will see their awards deducted from final balances.
Online registration at northwestmusic.org/yellowstone-summer-music-camp/ and scholarship submissions are required. Students who received a scholarship during the Showalter Music Festival are asked to note that when registering and bring their certificate to registration on the first day of camp to receive their discount.
Students are supervised in the residence halls from Sunday afternoon, June 16, through the end of the camp on Friday afternoon, June 21, by a team of counselors. Evenings are filled with a variety of music recitals and recreational activities. Band students must have completed at least one year of middle school/junior high band.
