Dear editor:
In researching the two candidates running for Park County Attorney, it seems that one is solely focused on prosecuting citizens with little to no mention of the other day to day duties the office would conduct. Marina Tucker, a fairly new resident of our area, did the usual, put on a cowboy (cowgirl) hat and pose with a horse photo op. The most recent population survey shows that Park County now contains approximately 31,000-plus people. That should keep Ms. Tucker, if she wins the office, quite busy keeping the jail filled.
The other candidate, Ericka Smith, presents a much more rounded option that will work with the citizens of Park County, whether it’s a mundane review of a road project contract or protecting the community from hardened criminals.
