Dear editor:

In a letter in the Oct. 20 Tribune we are assailed by a letter entitled “Blue wave in election is because of Trump” written by Karen Miller. In the same paper there is a letter by us entitled “Are you listening to yourself?’ To comment further:

While we don’t feel that our letter is a diatribe (bitter and abusive) as Ms. Miller states, we do feel that her letter is exactly that.

Yes, we are conservatives and we vote Republican though we don’t agree with everything they would like to get done. At least we are honest about that. Neither the GOP nor the Democratic Party are perfect. At one time people on both sides could hold important and informative discussions with each other. That possibility no longer exists. Friends, family members and strangers talk nothing but hate if they talk at all. Too bad. We would love to have a true, cogent discussion with anyone who will just discuss their values and beliefs under the Democratic Platform, and likely having to agree to disagree but go away not hating each other.

We are truly concerned about the future of this state and this country. While the worst Democrats are not in Wyoming yet, we are surely in the crosshairs. We are talking about the so-called Democrats who are really Socialists. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is at the top of the list. Bernie Sanders is another as well as the members of the Squad. Republicans know they have Rinos (Republican in Name Only)  however, do the Democrats know they have the DSA (Democrats in Disguise)? Do the Democrats know they are quietly letting the Socialists/Communists/terrorists take over our world? (i.e. the UK and France). Are we going to let them turn Wyoming into a blue state? Not by our hand.

And finally:

We have been writing these letters for five years now. We will take a break for a while unless something catches our attention and needs to be addressed. We have tried to make a difference and keep people informed about the madness in this country. Watching the goings on in Europe makes it more imperative than ever.

We appreciate those who have supported us and even those who don’t because they are reading our letters too and letting everyone know what kind of people they really are.
