Chris Pelletier, owner of Heart Mountain Hearing in Ralston and Mobility Plus in Powell, was inducted Friday into the Starkey Hearing Technology’s hall of fame.
Starkey Hearing Technologies is a privately owned company based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, that makes hearing aids, and is one of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world. Started in 1967, Starkey is a global company with more than 5,000 employees working in 28 facilities and in 100 markets worldwide with $2.1 billion in revenue in 2022.
“I am speechless (almost anyway),” Pelletier said in an online announcement. “What a feeling to be awarded this after nearly 30 years in the industry.”
Pelletier was one of the first two people to be presented with the award during the Owners Summit in Nashville, Tennessee. He also received the William F. Austin Heart and Spirit Award, which honored him for 30 years of service and for contributions to his community.
Since 2011, Pelletier has donated over $300,000 in product and services across the Big Horn Basin.
