Invitation for bids

Notice is hereby given that Beartooth Electric Cooperative, Inc.’s (BEC) contracted engineering firm, HDR Corporation, is requesting bids for BEC’s East Columbus Substation and Distribution Circuit Construction projects in Stillwater County. The engineering plans, requirements, and specification copies can be picked up at the BEC Red Lodge office, 1306 N Broadway Ave, Red Lodge, MT, for a nonrefundable fee of $10.00 or downloaded from the BEC website (Invitation to Bid East Columbus Substation and Distribution Circuit Construction Projects – Beartooth Electric Cooperative).
HDR will receive sealed bids for new Substation Construction and Distribution Circuit Construction at 970 S. 29th St. W, Billings, MT 59102, until 1:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2023. Electronic Copies are preferred. Mailed and delivered bids shall have the notation, “EAST COLUMBUS CONSTRUCTION,” written outside the respective envelope.
Persons with disabilities who need an alternative format of this document in order to participate in the Invitation for Bids process should contact Kevin P. Owens, BEC General Manager, telephone number (406) 446-2310. BEC will make every effort to comply with such a request. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s), and a certificate(s) of the insurance shall be provided. Montana Prevailing Wage rates shall apply. The successful Bidder shall comply with all applicable Local, State, and Federal ordinances, regulations, and requirements.
The successful Bidder shall comply with all applicable Federal regulations and requirements, including but not limited to Section 3 Clause, Equal Opportunity Clause, Executive Order 11246 and 11624, Federal Labor Standards, and Civil Rights Act.
Accordingly, BEC reserves the right to negotiate an agreement based upon available project funds and fair and reasonable compensation for the proposed scope of work and services. BEC reserves the right to reject all bids. BEC also reserves the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any Bidder if BEC believes that it would not be in the best interest of BEC to make an award to that Bidder.
