Chairwoman Dossie Overfield called to order a special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Park County, Wyoming, on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 6 p.m. Present were Vice Chairman, Lloyd Thiel, Commissioners Lee Livingston, Scott Mangold, Scott Steward and Clerk Colleen Renner.
Steve Pomajzl led the audience in the pledge of allegiance.
Open Public Hearing for Fiscal Year 2023-24 County Budget
Chairwoman Overfield opened the public hearing.
Mr. Pomajzl, Accounting Clerk gave an overview of the budget message explaining the carry-over from several departments, departments having staffing issues also created carryover. Sales and use tax came in more that projected and the County received 6.3 million dollars in American Rescue Plan Act. Tax dollars from minerals also created a carryover which will be placed in a fund to cover taxes paid by oil and gas companies early.
Highlights for plans in the upcoming year are a new HVAC system for the Courthouse and Public Works building which will also include a new roof. Willwood Road, Green Creek Road and 7RP will also be worked on in the upcoming ear. A new waste disposal cell will be put in place in FY24.
A full budget can be found on the county website at www.parkcounty-wy.gov. Chairwoman Overfield called for public comments, discussion with the Museum Board regarding expenditure and revenue. There being no further public comments, Commissioner Livingston moved to close the public hearing, Commissioner Mangold seconded, motion carried.

Commissioner Livingston moved to adjourn, Commissioner Thiel seconded, and the motion carried.
