A one-day tournament put the Panther golf team in action on Friday, sending the Panthers over to play in the Cats and Dogs Invitational at the Foster Gulch Golf Course in Lovell.
Junior Isaiah Woyack continued to improve his play as the Panthers reached the midseason mark, finishing with an 87 to lead the way for Powell.
In a close battle for second place, sophomore Jackson Hill claimed the spot with a 93 overall on the day.
Junior Gunnar Erickson played his way to the third spot for the Panthers, ending his round with a 94.
Finishing just behind Erickson was junior Andrew Jones, who finished with a 95 on the day.
Rounding out the scoring for the Panther boys was junior Will Jackson, finishing with a 111 on the day.
For the girls, freshman Coy Erickson finished with a 125 on the day.
At the junior varsity level, sophomore Trey Scott played his first round after an injury, finishing with a 93.
Junior Parker Williams finished with a 103 on the day, and senior Seth Siebert finished the day with a 110.
The Panthers now make their way over the mountain this Friday, taking part in an invitational in Sheridan. That tournament is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
