NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FRENCH SIGN VARIANCE #3
On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 1:15p.m., the Park County Board of Commissioners (“Board”) will conduct a public hearing to consider the Variance Request of Kevin French (“applicant”). On May 3, 2022, the applicant received the Board’s approval of a variance (Resolution #2022-39) to place a double-faced, single-sided sign/billboard, greater than 80 square feet, on the property described below. The applicant is now requesting permission to add a 25’Hx24’W sign (600 square feet) to the back side of the previously approved sign/billboard – a modification to the “single-sided” condition of the original variance request. The site of the proposed sign is within a 10.9-acre parcel just east of Ralston, described as that part of Lot 15 Section 24, Lot 8 Section 25 and Lot 3 Section 26, lying South of Highway 14A, T55N, R100W of the 6th P.M., Park County, Wyoming. The property is in a General Rural Powell (GR-P) zoning district. Signs within the GR-P zoning district are restricted to 80 square feet. Double-faced and back-to-back signs are considered one structure. Note: The applicant also received Board approval of a variance to place a second sign/billboard (675 square feet) on the property on May 3, 2022 (Resolution 2022-38).
The hearing will be held in the Commissioners Meeting Room #105 in the Original Courthouse, 1002 Sheridan Ave., Cody, WY. Anyone wishing to comment on this matter is encouraged to attend or submit comments to the Planning & Zoning Department, 1002 Sheridan Ave., Suite #109, Cody, WY 82414, or email Planning@parkcounty.us.
