Powell's USA wrestlers competed in a folkstyle tournament recently in Thermopolis and six wrestlers earned first-place medals in the competition.In the 7-8-year-old division, Michael Maddox and Bo Dearcorn earned first place at 60 and 65 pounds, respectively. Other winners were Reese Karst (65 pounds) in the 9-10 year old division and 11-12-year-old wrestlers James Moore (65), Zavier Wantulok (75) and Ty Dearcorn (95).
Second place winners included Justin Wardell (40) in the six and under division, Chase Lapp (75) in the 7-8 year-old division. Candall Sanders (50), Travis Lytle (55) and Preston Quarles (65) all finished second in the 9-10 year old division as did Marshall Wittick (75) in the 11-12 division.
Kaelan Grover (65) and Nick Mundy (95) were third-place finishers among 9-10 year olds, while Joshua Riedhammer (95) finished third in the 11-12 division and Nick Urbach (91) did the same among 13-14-year-olds.
Finishing in fourth place were Hadley Mehling (45) in six and under, Trevor Groves (45) and Michael Timmons (50) in 7-8, Carson Murdock (80), Jaylyn Freeze (95) in 9-10 and Chance Karst (91) in 13-14.
Vincent Timmons (40) in 6 and under, Colton Thormahlen (55) in 7-8 and Logan Mehling (80) in 9-10 finished in fifth place.
Sixth place finishers in were Dane Lauritzen (45A) in 6 and under, Logan Warner (45B), and William Kost (65). Larry Woodington (50A), Trent Lytle (50B), and Joshua Hines (70) all finished sixth in the 7-7 division. In the 9-10 division, Jett Flores (80), and Zach Griffin (95) finsihed sixth as did Trevan Lytle (70) in the 11-12 division.
