Sophia Emmelia “Sophie” Rodriguez Gutierrez, the infant daughter of Rebekah Gutierrez and Juan Rodriguez, died Dec. 29, 2009, after a few short breaths.
Sophie is survived by her parents; grandparents Victor and Gloria Gutierrez and Juan and San Juanita Rodriguez; great-grandmother Guadalupe Cortez; aunt Monica (Edgar) Rodriguez; uncles Adrian Rodriguez and Diego Rodriguez; cousins Natalee and Patti; and many other uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Moises Cortez Jr.
Funeral services have taken place. Memorials may be sent to the family at 333 South Jones St., #11, in Powell.
A benefit dance will be Saturday, Jan. 16, at the VFW in Powell, beginning at 9 p.m.
