The PCSD1 Parents Group will be hosting a school board forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Commons in Powell.
The group aims to give parents a voice in education and advocate for transparency in the district.
Lynnet Paul of the PCSD1 Parents Group said that following the last school board forum, some parents were concerned that their questions were not presented to candidates. During Wednesday’s forum audience members can submit questions at the door with pen and paper and there will be no premeditated questions from the group.
The forum will be moderated with one to two individuals sorting questions. Candidates will have one minute to answer questions and candidates who cannot attend will have the opportunity to submit their responses to the PCSD1 Parents Group to be posted on their Facebook page. The forum will also be broadcast live on the PCSD1 Parents Group Facebook page.
