Former Powell resident Ruth Haines Gryder died Dec. 17, 2005, in Jefferson, Wis.
She was 78.
She was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was first married to John Cronk of West Orange, N.J., in 1946, and her second marriage was to W.D. “Dub” Gryder of Dublin, Texas, in 1953. Dub preceded her in death in 1970, and John in 2005.
