Roy Irvin Hostetler, 89, of Powell, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody.

Roy was born on March 9, 1931, in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, to Guy and Dora Hostetler. He joined the Army in 1949 and was discharged in 1950. He married Florence Norskog in 1950 and together they had five children. They divorced in 1961.

Roy then moved to Connecticut and married his second wife, Mildred, who passed away in 2001. He worked for General Dynamics in Connecticut for 24 years. After Mildred’s death, Roy moved to Idaho where he married his third wife, Dolly. She preceded him in death in 2019.

Roy is survived by his children: Donald and Rose Hostetler of Powell; Debbie and John Zierke of Cody; R.D. and Julie Hostetler of Billings, Montana; Richard and Karla Hostetler of Billings, Montana; and David and Karen Etchells of Glasgo, Connecticut; 15 grandchildren and multiple great- and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wives Mildred and Dolly, his daughter Linda Hostetler and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
