(Feb. 1, 1927 - March 8, 2008) Funeral services will be Friday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at the Cowley LDS meeting house for Richard (Dick) Wardell Busteed, 81, who died Saturday, March 8.He was born Feb. 1, 1927, to Daphne Wardell and Richard Busteed in Cody. After high school, Dick joined the U.S. Navy and served three years. He was honorably discharged and then met and married Shirley Ann Lewis Aug. 5, 1949. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 30, 1992.Dick was a successful brick mason for over 40 years, meeting and making friends all over the West. From childhood, he loved making and flying model airplanes. In retirement, he made airplanes and shipped them to modelers from California to Pennsylvania.He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in the Family History Library with his wife, as an executive secreatary in the Cowley First Ward and a faithful home teacher. He is survived by his wife Shirley; four daughters, Becky Rae (Ralph) Knippel, Eva (Morgan) Sayes, Karen (Randall) Peterson and Lynne (Kevin) Hall; one son, Riuchard Lewis (Diane) Busteed; 18 grandchidlren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Blanche (Bob) Johnson.Burial will be in the Cowley Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home.
