Dear editor:
The board at Powell Valley Recycling wanted to thank the multitude of people who showed up to recycle with us this past week after our unfortunate necessity to be closed for seven weeks. One day alone last week we served 100 people from both within the City of Powell and Park County!
In the past week we have received such outstanding support from our community and were told we were sorely missed by many. Some told us they were so glad that they didn’t have to go to Cody to recycle; that they much preferred the service that our employees at Powell Valley Recycling provide to them at the door. We received a few monetary donations also and were told that for a mere $2 a month tacked on to Powell residents’ utility bills, Powell Valley Recycling provided a much needed service to the community and Park County.
Along with the community’s continued support, the board at Powell Valley Recycling is committed to doing our best to keep our doors open.
Marynell Oechsner
President of the Board at Powell Valley Recycling
