Powell native Steve Lebruska will play the Pepsi Free Stage at the Park County Fair for the second year in a row.
“I grew up in Powell and it means a lot to me to play in Powell on that stage, more than people may know,” Lebruska said. “It means a lot to me to play in front of my family and friends and their kids and granddkids.”
Lebruska began playing music as a middle school student in 1974, he describes John Denver as his “first musical interest.”
Lebruska’s musical stylings cover quite a bit of ground. The songs of John Denver, Def Leppard and James Taylor may make an appearance to name a few.
“I’ve got a really wide range of things from all the time I’ve been able to play,” Lebruska said.
While Lebruska is excited to play on the stage he’s also excited for the Park County Fair.
He has a particular love for the exhibits that people build “in their own fields, in their own homes, in their own kitchens.”
After his final show on Saturday Lebruska plans to enjoy the Park County Fair and go to the demolition derby with his dad.
Lebruska will be playing Tuesday at 2 p.m., Wednesday at 5 p.m., Thursday at 6 p.m., Friday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.
