Oscar Dale Reimer, formerly of Powell, died Dec. 6, 2010.
He was born Dec. 16, 1945 to Dale E. Reimer and Opal Reimer.
His final days were spent with family and friends. Although Oscar’s illness made him frail, he possessed strength, perseverance; he faced the challenges of cancer with optimism and inner strength. With his courage, he led his loved ones to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
Oscar married Judith A. Skurok in 1964 in Buffalo and they had four daughters. He then later remarried.
Oscar was loved by all who knew him. He loved his children and was so proud of them. He loved his family unconditionally; he lived his life simply in uncomplicated ways and found good in everyone he met.
He taught by example and encouragement and had a tremendous impact on those who knew him.
Oscar was an avid outdoorsman. He had an inner connection with the outdoors and willingly shared that with friends and family.
Oscar has left a legacy of love and faith that will never be forgotten.
Oscar leaves behind many wonderful caregivers, who provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life.
He is survived by his four daughters: Tammy Rodgers, Deborah Jenkins, Lynn Holliday, Kristy Cunningham; sister Judy lee Baker; wife Betty Reimer; stepchildren Michael Parmely, Melody Butler and Kelly Ashe; numerous grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale E. Reimer and Opal Reimer; and one grandchild, KaCee Lee Morse.
