Gene Sharp, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee and political theorist is considered the world’s foremost scholar on nonviolent revolution. Sharp’s ideas for change using nonviolent action have inspired and informed peaceful democratic uprisings against dictatorships across the globe.

An award-winning documentary describing Sharp’s work, “How to Start a Revolution” will be shown 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Christ Episcopal Church on 825 Simpson Ave. in Cody.

After the film, Wyoming Rising Chair Mary Keller will facilitate a discussion on the film.

Popcorn and cider will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own favorite snack as well. Those who are unable to attend may watch the film at tinyurl.com/WyomingRising.

Hosted by Wyoming Rising, a local non-profit group working to promote civil liberties, quality public education, affordable health care, protection of the environment, and participation in government.
