A new community Thanksgiving Dinner is on for this year after new organizers stepped in to run it.
The dinner will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Heart Mountain Hall in the Park County Fairgrounds on Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day.
The organizers are reaching out to the community not only to attend, but to help make the dinner as good as possible.
“We are reaching out to area churches, to those who have assisted in the past and to any in the community with a desire to help, asking for donations of food, labor, financial help and for prayers,” the organizers said.
To help, call 307-254-0389 or email Larry.david.akin@gmail.com.
Monetary donations can be made at the door or sent to P.O. Box 1161, Powell, WY 82435.
“Please join us as we express thanks and gratitude to our Heavenly Father and to our community for the blessings we enjoy,” the organizers said.
Those unable to attend, but who would like a meal or meals delivered to their home, may leave a message with name, address, quantities desired and preference for white or dark meat.
