Springtime fills the air with a sense of warmth while promising new beginnings for all, including newlyweds.
Last spring, Powell native, Chandra Barnard, and Minnesota native, John Jacobs, were happily married on April 30 at the Bennett Creek Church in Clark, in a ceremony officiated by the father of the bride, Wade Barnard.
The wedding was decorated with a rich, red wine color and navy blue which added darker tones to the light, spring atmosphere.
With the Beartooth landscape as the background, the couple took stunning outdoor pictures to capture their life-changing, magical day.
In attendance were Chandra’s parents Wade and Kayla Barnard and John’s parents Daniel and Patty Jacobs. Standing by the bride’s side was sister Alyssa Nagaard who served as the maid of honor. The groom was accompanied by his brother, Jason Jacobs, who was the best man.
Alongside the maid of honor were the sisters of the bride: Amy Barnard, Abigail Barnard, Carrie Barnard and the sister of the groom, Amanda Dierenfeld.
The groomsmen included Issac Jacobs, nephew of the groom, Chad Jacobs, cousin of the groom, Jon Dierenfeld, brother-in-law of the groom and Jesse Barnard, brother of the bride.
Family and friends alike gathered around to celebrate the couple as Rudy Booher, Clara Booher, Clancy Booher, Ruth Booher and Amy Barnard sang notable song titles such as, “By Faith,” “All Heaven Declares” and “Be Thou My Vision.” The songs were played on the violin, guitar and piano. During the recession, “To God be the Glory” was sung by the entire congregation.
The couple now resides in Freeborn, Minnesota, where they will begin their lives together as newlyweds.
