(Feb. 28, 1945 - March 21, 2008) Margaret Dana Richardson died suddenly in her home in Powell on Friday, March 21. She was 63.A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Powell. She was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Lovell to Evagene (Davis) and Robert Richardson. She shared her birthday with both her father and paternal grandfather. She celebrated her most recent birthday in Tucson, Ariz., cheering for her beloved Colorado Rockies. Margaret graduated from Lovell High School and the University of Wyoming. She began her teaching career in Sheridan and then continued it in Powell for 31 years. She loved outdoor activities and was a downhill and cross-country skier, golfer, hiker, and camper. Throughout school she was an active Girl Scout and camp counselor. She was Past Honored Queen of Job's Daughter's Bethel 29 in Lovell and was also a member of the University of Wyoming Alumni Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and Alpha Chi Omega.Margaret was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and served her Lord every day through her kind thoughts and deeds. Unkind words never crossed her lips. She surrounded herself with humor and joy.She is survived by one sister, Jane Richardson; a brother-in-law, Dennis Hejduk; a nephew Robert Martinez; a great niece, Cassidy Lyn Martinez; an uncle; numerous cousins; hundreds of former students; and her three kittens. Memorials may be made to Margaret's favorite charities: Caring for Powell Animals, Powell Valley Healthcare Diabetic Support Group, Lovell Library Building Fund, Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center, or the Crosswalk Christian Library.Thompson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
