A total of $700,903 was transferred to the State Treasurer’s Office last week as the final quarterly distribution of net lottery proceeds for fiscal year 2022, which ended June 30.
The payment brought the total lottery proceeds transferred to the state for FY 22 to $3,183,244.25.
Cities, towns and counties are the beneficiaries of the net lottery proceeds based on the dollar amount of lottery ticket sales revenue generated in the counties.
For FY 22, the City of Powell had received $23,444.99 in lottery revenue before the July payment. Lottery revenues received by the city are added to the general fund and available for city-directed expenditure.
