The Homesteader Museum has a new activity for its young guests — a scavenger hunt. Staff recently challenged them via its Facebook site to find items within the museum that begin with the letters of the alphabet and/or to find the letters themselves.
Throughout January, staff will post about a letter each day. Posts so far have included an alcoholometer (or breathalyzer) from the 1960s, a knife sharpener from 1935 shaped like the letter B, as well as a brief history of Clark Street and how it was originally intended to be the “main” street of Powell.
