The provider staff at Heritage Health Center in Powell has grown by four. They include a physician assistant, a family nurse practitioner and two licensed clinical social workers.

The four will practice at the HHC clinic in Powell and will see patients at the organization’s locations in Greybull and Lovell as well, said CEO Colette Mild.

Heather Sanders graduated from Rocky Mountain College in Billings in 2005 with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Her undergraduate studies were at Colorado State University, as well as Rocky Mountain College. She also has an associate degree as a medical assistant. After completing her physician assistant degree, she worked at South Big Horn County Hospital/Midway clinic for 11 years and more recently worked at Lander Medical Clinic for the last four years.

She is married and has two children. She enjoys all activities that Wyoming has to offer. Sanders and her family are excited about their new home and becoming part of the community.

Julie Agee attended Corban College in Salem, Oregon, for a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. She then attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and received a bachelor’s degree in science and nursing. She worked as an emergency department nurse for 10 years prior to entering graduate school at Georgetown University, where she earned a master’s degree in nursing. Agee now works as a family nurse practitioner. Her favorite pursuits are spending time with her family, cooking, reading, playing indoor soccer and riding her horse.

Emily Green earned her master of social work from Walla Walla University and is a licensed clinical social worker. She has 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Her professional life includes a commitment to serving the needs of individuals as a mental health therapist. She believes healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment. Green has experience counseling clients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and is comfortable counseling diverse groups of people.

Megan Garza is a licensed clinical social worker who just relocated back to the area after practicing in Arizona as the lead social worker in a large school district with over 20,000 students. Garza grew up in Burlington, then received a bachelor of social work degree from the University of Wyoming before completing the advanced standing program at the University of Wyoming for her master’s degree in social work, and also interning as the interim director for the multicultural resource center on campus.

Garza has spent over 13 years working with children and families. She is a certified trainer of Youth Mental Health First Aid and ACEs (through the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium).  She enjoys time with her four kids doing sports and outdoor activities.
