The Powell High School football team has prevailed once again.
Because PHS is playing in the Class 3A Championship game on Friday afternoon in Laramie, a legislative redistricting meeting slated for 6 p.m. in Powell has been canceled.
The Park County Republican Women had scheduled the event to gather legislators, election officials and members of the public to discuss proposed changes to Wyoming's legislative voting districts.
"If folks in that area would like another meeting, please let the Park County Republican Women know, and we'll gladly reschedule," said Echo Renner, PCRW vice president, in a press release sent this (Thursday) morning. "We wish the Powell team well in the championship."
The Park County Republican Women will proceed with redistricting meetings at the Meeteetse Senior Citizen Center tonight (Thursday) and at the Cody library on Monday, Nov. 14. Both meetings begin at 6 p.m.
For questions or more information on the meetings, call Renner 307-868-9232 or visit the Park County Republican Women page on Facebook. For more information on the proposed legislative redistricting plan, log on to the Legislature's redistricting webpage.
