Dixie Sue Loran, 51, died Sunday, Aug. 16, at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell.
She was born in Cody on Dec. 21, 1957, to Karen (Kay) and Robert Loran. She married Edward Rodriguez at her mother’s house in June 2004.
Dixie will be remembered for her carefree spirit and the wild look in her eyes. She worked to care for others and consistently tried to help others. She fought a short battle with cancer and showed strength through it all.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Rodriguez; her children Bobbi Sue Foss of Cody, Louis Grant Kousoulos of Powell, Carmen Dickson of Lovell and Travis Kuhl of Lovell; her stepchildren Lydia Wood of Lovell, Roman Rodriguez of Guam, Tony Rodriguez, Jennilee Rodriguez and Amee Rodriguez, all of Lovell, Shannon McCollam of Byron and Julie Molaskey of Cody; her mother and father Kay and Robert Loran of Lovell; her siblings Casey Loran, Nick Loran, Sheila Lipps and Judy Brittain, all of Cody and Rocky Loran of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, Hank Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at Great Western Park in Lovell on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow.
