Special Meeting
Monday, August 7, 2023
​Chairwoman Dossie Overfield called to order a special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Park County, Wyoming, on Monday, August 7, 2023. Present were Vice Chairman, Lloyd Thiel, Commissioners Lee Livingston, Scott Steward and Clerk Colleen Renner. Commissioner Scott Mangold was absent.
Molly Norberg led the audience in the pledge of allegiance.
Pat Meyer, Assessor – RE: Set Mill Levies per W.S. § 39-13-102
​Chairwoman Overfield began the meeting stating per statute the Board shall set mill levies on or before the first Monday of August, therefore the special meeting was scheduled.
​Mr. Meyer stated Park County has the largest valuation of its history. Special districts fire, cities, college, hospitals, and cemetery have all requested the mills they are allowed by law. Cemetery districts are the only special districts that have not requested their maximum mills.
​Commissioner Livingston moved to approve the mill levies as presented, Commissioner Steward seconded, motion carried.
Adjourn.
​Commissioner Steward moved to adjourn, Commissioner Livingston seconded, and the motion carried.
