A Cody woman has been arrested and charged in the Sept. 20 hit and run of 11-year-old Cody boy Parker DeFord.
Jeniffer Phillips is currently out on a $6,000 PR signature bond on misdemeanor charges of allegedly leaving the scene of an accident that results in injury or death and failing to yield pedestrian right of way in the crosswalk. Phillips has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her bond conditions prohibit driving except to transport her children to school, go to appointments or in case of emergency. She is also allowed to drive for her cosmetology program.
Phillips has a trial scheduled for Feb. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
DeFord’s GoFundMe, which was created soon after the accident, has raised $24,576 as of Monday morning out of a $75,000 goal.
