Headline opponents for the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress will not attend the Aug. 11 Meet the Candidates forum in Washington Park hosted by Powell Economic Partnership.
U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney and her primary challenger, Harriet Hageman, have committed to attend another candidate forum in Rock Springs on that day. Similarly, Gov. Mark Gordon, running for reelection, and some other candidates for state office will be in Rock Springs.
Candidates for local legislative seats in the House and Senate, along with county commissioner and county courthouse offices, will mostly attend.
