(May 30, 1945 - March 7, 2010)Charles “Butch” Blank died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Powell Valley Hospital. He was 64.Butch was born May 30, 1945, in Lovell, to Jacob “Jack” Blank and Florence May Rogers. He received his education in the Deaver schools, and lived in Powell the last 10 years. He served in the army, farmed, and was employed by Powell Valley Recycling. He enjoyed playing card games, especially pinochle, with special friend Jerry Ostrum.He is survived by a sister Jackie (Ken) Englert of Kingman, Ariz., and Terry Hambidge of Arkansas.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Maxine and brother-in-law Richard Underwood, and one great-nephew, Jeremiah Henrie.Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Deaver Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Deaver Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Tobin Novasio, Chad Underwood, Ryan Underwood, Jake Henrie, Josh Henrie and Rage Geringer. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Hambidge, Rick Underwood, Reo Underwood, Scott Novasio and Jerry Ostrum.Memorials may be made to Big Horn Enterprises, 146 S. Bent St. in Powell.Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
