Bret Savage, The Cowley Boys and The Rewinders will perform on free stage

Audiences will see triple on the Park County Fair’s Pepsi free stage thanks to performances by the Cowley Boys, The Rewinders and Bret Savage.

Bret Savage

All three musical acts will feature Savage, a Park County resident who has performed in the area for the past 23 years and over 30 years total, but each act offers a different musical experience and even each performance will be different.

In fact Savage has been playing for so long that when he plays at the Irma Hotel on Tuesday nights he brings hundreds of songs.

“I try to make each show unique. I don't repeat stuff very much,” he said.

The Cowley Boys

The Cowley Boys have been together for 26 years, Savage said, and their current guitarist, teenager Kasen Banks, is the son of Dave Banks who plays the rhythm guitar. The Cowley Boys’ lineup consists of Schuyler Hinckley on drums, Dave on rhythm guitar, Kasen on lead guitar and Savage on bass guitar.

“We can play for four hours and leave a lot of stuff on the table,” Savage said.

Their music is an edgier offering, “a mix of country and classic rock,” compared to the Rewinders who play “oldies.”

The Rewinders

The Rewinders band members focus on taking audiences back to the past, they try to pull from a catalogue of classics that their audiences will know.

“I just like to make people smile and kind of have a familiarity [with the music],” Savage said.

The Rewinders is made up of Wade Brost on rhythm guitar, Miker Holzer on bass guitar, Chris Allen on drums and Savage on lead guitar.

“It’s just fun kicking back through time,” Savage said.

Bret Savage will kick off the free stage performances on Tuesday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 2 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.

The Rewinders will perform at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m on Friday and The Cowley Boys will perform at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday.
