(May 6, 1927 - March 25, 2008) Beverly Jameson Robertson died Tuesday, March 25 in Cody. She was 80.She was born May 6, 1927 in Cowley, the oldest child of Hyrum Stanley Jameson and Rela Marchant. She attended school in Cowley and was editor for her school paper "The Jaguar" her senior year. She participated in chorus, oratory and drama. After graduation, she attended BYU for three years where she majored in journalism.Beverly and Mark D. Robertson were married Aug. 18, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised their family of five boys in Lovell and Cody. She wrote news and human-interest stories for newspapers, including the Cody Enterprise, where she penned her column "Banter by Beverly" for many years. She later compiled some of her writings into a book The Best of Banter, and won many awards for the articles she wrote. She was a docent for the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum and was an avid genealogist, leaving volumes of records and family history for her posterity.Beverly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was involved in drama productions, and music. She served as a teacher, den mother and leader in the Young Women and Relief Society organization of her church. She served a mission with her husband to Philadelphia and to Brooklyn, N.Y., where they opened a genealogy research library.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark, brother Brett, and granddaughter, Amy.She is survived by her sons Reed (Jacque), Brian (Jane), Dane (Mary Beth), Kevin (Rhonda), and Eric (Theresa), 31 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Phyllis Taggart, Lila Jameson, Kay Thatch, Barbara Clark, Naomi Harrison, Stanley Mendoza, and brothers Kirk and Duane Jameson.Funeral services will be held a 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, at the Cody LDS chapel, 1719 Wyoming Ave., with interment in Riverside Cemetery. Viewing is one hour prior to services at the church. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell assisted the family with arrangements.
