A worker for local contractor Groathouse Construction was life flighted to Billings after falling from the new Northwest College Student Center construction site Tuesday morning.
And of Tuesday afternoon he was doing well and expected to recover, NWC President Lisa Watson said in a letter to campus staff.
“Our hearts are with him and his family right now,” Watson wrote. “Our primary concern is for his well-being, and we extend our sincere wishes for a full recovery. Northwest College values the safety and welfare of everyone within our community, including the contractors who contribute to our campus's growth and improvement. Let us all come together and send our positive thoughts and best wishes to the injured worker and his loved ones tonight.”
Groathouse is the lead contractor on the building projected, scheduled to be completed next summer.
Watson said college staff are working closely with the construction company to better understand what happened.
