Romance author Linda Rae Sande is this spring’s featured speaker at the Cody Writers Series, scheduled for Thursday, April 4, in the Park County Library Grizzly Room, located at 1500 Heart Mountain Street in Cody. The event runs from 6-7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
A self-described nerd and lover of science, Sande spent many years as a published technical writer specializing in 3D graphics workstations, software and animation. Her movie credits, while working for PDI/DreamWorks, included “Shrek” and “Shrek 2.” An interest in genealogy led to years of research on the Regency era and a desire to write fiction based in that time.
After moving to Cody, Sande began her career as an author in 2013, and has now published dozens of books in the historical romance genre set in the Regency era, as well as ancient Greece. She appears regularly at events and book-signings, including a role as host for Wild Deadwood Reads, and recently helped organize the inaugural Cody Romance Round-Up.
A fan of action-adventure movies, Sande can frequently be found at the local cinema, and is a fan of the San Jose Sharks. She earned her B.S. in physics and astronomy from Northern Arizona University in 1980.
