Cadet Airman Fae McNair, a Powell Middle School seventh grader, was recently promoted to Airman 1st Class at a ceremony at Northwest College.
Cadet Airman 1st Class McNair, who joined the Heart Mountain Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol late last year has been diligently moving through the ranks. In order to receive the Airman 1st Class Arnold Award she had to learn about leadership, aerospace, drill, fitness and character development. She also had be an active member and attend meetings covering these topics.
The Heart Mountain Squadron meets every Tuesday at the Math/Science Building on the Northwest College campus from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
