Billie Louise ‘Farmer’ Walker

The daughter of Owen Farmer and Merle Jones, Billie Louise Walker was born in Byron, Wyoming, Aug. 4 of 1929. She passed and made her way to heaven in Billings, Montana on Dec. 4, 2023. 

Billie married Richard Walker on Sept. 5, 1947, and started their family of six children.

She was affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She had many hobbies which she used to enrich others’ lives, she was a generous hostess and if you left her house hungry, it was your own fault.

Survivors are daughters Brenda Hopkin, Mary Ann Keeler and Wendy Smith, along with daughters in-law Nancy Peel and Gayle Staudinger, 13 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, sons Brent, Phillip and Merrill, brother Bert and sister in-law Beverly and son in-law Thayne Hopkin.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 537 W. Seventh Street in Powell, Wyoming on Jan. 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. In lieu of a viewing, visitation with family will start at 10 a.m.
