Philip Schneider, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother died Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Billings after a short illness. He was 69.

Philip Harry Schneider was born on June 16, 1943 in Kane, Wyo., to Harry and Leona Schneider. He was the eldest of four children.

He was raised on the family farm and graduated from high school in Lovell.

He married the love of his life and soul mate, Peggy Ann Wheeler, on May 25, 1963 in Powell. They celebrated 49 wonderful years together.

Philip was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Phil and Peggy resided in Thermopolis from 1966 until the time of his death.

He was the proud father of two sons, Richard and Kevin.

Phil is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons Richard (Teresa) of Gillette, Kevin (Kristy) of Billings; grandchildren Ginny Clark, Misty (Preston) McFerrin, Laurie (Trent) Brandenberger, and Kendra Schneider; five great-grandchildren; sisters Letha (Dan) Nusz, Leah (Bill) Cain; brother John (Jane) Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phil was a very loving and caring person and will be truly missed.                  

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 28 at Mortimore’s Funeral Home in Thermopolis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with military graveside services following at Riverside Cemetery.
