Adeline W. Lystad died July 31, 2008, in Arlington, Va., at the age of 96.
Adeline was born in Sand Coulee, Mont., to Hilma and Elias Doura. She graduated from Stockett-Sand Coulee High School and attended the University of Montana at Missoula.
After her marriage to Vern Steck, she lived in Powell, where her son William was born. She later worked in the offices of the Security Bank Note Corporation in Philadelphia and the Federal Land Bank in Spokane, Wash., for many years. After her retirement, she was active in art groups in Spokane.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Vern L. Steck and Clarence O. Lystad. She is survived by a son, V. William (Ann) Steck; stepchildren, John (Jeanne) Lystad and Nadine Page; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Alvina Faucher.
