Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at Union Presbyterian Church in Powell for former resident, Gerald (Jerry) Allen Whitlock, 75, who died at his Casper home Saturday, Sept. 2.

The Rev. David Hunter will officiate.

Jerry was born Oct. 20, 1930, at Big Lake, Texas, the third of seven children born to Charles and Margaret Whitlock.

He married E. Jean Hajny on Oct. 15, 1950, at Columbus, Mont. From this union came three daughters: Cherie Wright of San Diego, Calif., Melodie Harris (Greg) and Cindy Whitlock, both of Kansas City, Mo. Other survivors include one grandson, Brian Wright (Dani) and three great-grandchildren, all of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Howard (Barbara) Whitlock of Jackson, Miss., Jack (Darlene) Whitlock of Casper and Leonard Whitlock of Powell; one sister, Joyce Keller (Ben) of Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bill and Richard Whitlock.

He owned the Pioneer Club in Powell before moving to Billings, Mont., to work for the Northern Hotel. In 1967, he moved to San Francisco, Calif., to manage a Northern Hotel’s lounge. In 1981, he bought the Bachus Kirk Lounge and operated it until he retired.

He had lived in Casper since retirement in 2003. Jerry enjoyed life, family, friends and fishing on Yellowstone Lake.

Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
