Services for Theodore (Ted) Anderson, who died July 9 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, are scheduled for Monday, July 18 at First Methodist Church in Powell. He was 68.

He was born April 13, 1937, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Louis and Ellen (Larson) Anderson. He earned an associate's degree in agriculture from Alfred State College, an associate's degree in business from Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, N.Y., a bachelor's degree in political science from SUNY in Fredonia, N.Y., a master's degree in accounting from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y., and a doctorate in business education from Utah State University in Logan.

He married Janis Moran on April 19, 1964, at the Sherman Community Church in Sherman, N.Y. They later welcomed a son and a daughter into the family.

He worked as a college professor at SUNY and Western Wyoming Community College. He also served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Methodist Church, the NRA and the Heart Mountain Rod and Gun Club and was awarded the EPDA Fellowship Vocational Tech Program. He loved reading, music, agriculture and dairy.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Anderson of Powell; his daughter, Stephanie of Powell; and his son, Gary of Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Kidney Foundation for diabetes research.
